Low Shoe shelf - Inspired by Animal Pelts

White Oak board: Approximately 1” thick, 7-10” wide, and 4' long.

Hand-carved through a subtractive process. Inspired by the topographical structure of driftwood, and the stretching of animal pelts.

Shelf legs made from 1” steel pipe tube stock, 16 gauge thickness. Bent using a manual pipe bending machine to achieve curvature.

Finish achieved using 80 grit on a circular disk sander

Bent steel rods are MIG welded together.

Shape inspired by antlers and deer legs.

White Oak top with steel square rod frame. Hand-carved to fit objects of personal importance.
